Greetings to all of you gorgeous, incredible, abundantly beautiful readers!!

If you are reading this, the Be Abundant Love Campaign Bonus Newsletter then you already know one of the missions of the Brilliant Abundance campaign is to uplift women of all kinds to recognize their best self and live their best life.  While we know that self-love is the key to feeling our best, let’s be honest ladies! We like to look our best too!

Here, I’d like to share my tried and true tips to creating a style that’s truly yours and makes you feel your ultimate best

ONE | Show some skin!
In my twenties, I had yet to come into the woman I am today.  Maybe I was a late bloomer, but I didn’t truly feel sexy, like a truly vibrant woman until I arrived into my thirties.  One thing I have learned is that a woman needs to feel sexy and confident in her own way in everything she wears, even when she’s in her sweat pants (Let’s be honest, some us feel our SEXIEST in sweatpants!)  This is why I believe we all need to show some skin…. Somewhere…. No matter our body type!

The key is to highlight the “good stuff” while distracting from areas we like just a little bit less :)
If you have a small waist, belt it or tie it up.  If you have long legs, Raise that hem.  If you have a nice collarbone, rock plunging necklines.  Do you have beautiful feet? Show those toes.  If you have a nice bosom, well you already know where this is going.  Everyone has something great they can accentuate.  Today, look in the mirror and find that thing about you that you really love.

TWO | Notice the patterns!

Next time you go shopping, pay attention to the things that are the most flattering on your body.  Certain shapes are best for certain body types.  If you look in your closet, you may notice a pattern or two.  If you find that certain shapes look amazing on you, remember this on your next shopping trip.  This will save you time AND continuously boost your confidence while shopping.  Many times we continue to try on things that just don’t work for us and it takes all the enjoyment out of what should be lots of fun!

THREE | Foundation is Everything!

One word… UNDERGARMENTS.  You’re never too young (or too thin) to ignore the importance of proper foundations ladies!  Different shapes and fabrics demand an array of options when it comes to bras, underwear, shapewear, etc.  The proper shapewear ie: Spanx can literally change the look of any garment.  Do yourself a favor.  Spend a little time in the store trying on foundations of all kind.  You’ll see the difference in how you feel in that sexy form-fitting dress when you take care of what’s underneath!

FOUR | Take a cue from the guys and befriend a tailor!

This one speaks for itself.  How many times have you bought a dress you’ve been longing for only to be disappointed by how it looks on YOU?  Sometimes all it takes are the magical hands of a great tailor.  No, really, an excellent tailor can seemingly make magic happen.  You will look and feel slimmer, more sophisticated and confident when your clothes fit like they were made for you and only you.

FIVE | Don’t ignore the finishing touches!
Any stylist will tell you there is one very simple thing you can do to make your style all your own.  Just like you trim your Christmas tree to create your very own one-of-a-kind holiday creation, you need to trim your look in a way that expresses yourself.  You should select classy, timeless pieces that also speak to you and your personal style.  The smallest detail could make a world of difference.  A simple antique ring could be just enough.  But for the right occasion, an abstract chunky metallic necklace could be the very thing to take your look to the next level.  Never over- do-it, though.  You’ve heard it a million times but when it comes to accessories, less really is more and it’s about quality over quantity.

SIX | Play with colors!
Play with colors that accentuate your skin tone.  Certain colors look better on some of us than others.  It's just the way it is and we might as well have fun with it.  Wearing colors that accentuate your skin tone will only make you feel that much more brilliant in everything you wear.  Here are some color suggestions for your skin tone: For Lighter Skin…

  • Dark Green, Teal, Light Blue,  Camel and Rust

For Medium Skin…

  • Jewel-tones (like Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald and Amethyst), Shades of Gray, and Blush

For Darker Skin…

  • Electric Blue, Mustard Yellow, Red and Pastels

Black and White look good on EVERYONE!

Use these tips to evaluate your wardrobe.  You should always feel great in what you’re wearing!  Confidence in how we present ourselves to the world is just one step in feeling our absolute best!  Most importantly, have fun and remember that self-love will always prevail.

God has created each of us uniquely brilliant in his image.

Remember Psalms 139:14:

I Will Praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are your works, and that my soul knows very well.
