Our Vision | Mission | Impact | Leading Women to Lead their Own Healing Journey
Brilliant Abundance's vision is to open doors for healing and witness women heal, beyond the shame of their traumas and move into their Brilliant Abundance.
Brilliant Abundance provides crisis advocacy organizations and women identifying as direct and indirect survivors with tools of empowerment for continued healing and personal growth, post-crisis intervention advocacy services.
Through the B.A.C.Q. 2 Healing Journey, indirect and direct survivors of sexual violence, domestic violence, and/or child abuse, will progress through their own healing using a series of personal development and spiritual wholeness-healing tools and workshops.
The B.A.C.Q. 2 healing Journey will provide survivors of violence, who are post crisis intervention services with an alternative to embrace and heal beyond the feelings of shame and self-doubt—allowing each woman to live in her Brilliant Abundance.
B.A.C.Q.ueens experiencing the healing journey will develop an ability to take back their power through story-telling and owning her voice; become self-empowered through lessons of self-advocacy, coupled with love; and ultimately deepen her process of self-recognition and healing through forgiveness, personal development and spiritual wholeness healing.
Corinn Marquis, Fonder & CEO of Brilliant Abundance prides herself on her work in advocacy and activism for women identifying as indirect and direct survivors of sexual violence, domestic violence, and/or child abuse. Determined to serve as an effective change agent for rape culture in America and identifying as an indirect survivor herself, she understands first-hand the need for continued healing, growth, personal development, and spiritual wholeness.
A California native, currently residing in the D.M.V, Corinn Marquis has always been passionate about this particular demographic. Starting her collegiate education at the University of California, Davis she majored in sociology with an emphasis in law and society and minored in religious studies; with a strong desire to become a prosecutor in sex crimes, she served as a litigation paralegal in environmental risk management, while working on her masters of science in legal studies. Ultimately, she realized she could be of better service to the community than to the justice system, by touching the lives of survivors directly and with a level of reliability and compassion that those unaffected might not understand.
Locally, Corinn Marquis began her advocacy efforts working as a crisis intervention advocate at the local rape crisis center. Nearly four years later, she has also taken on the roles of supporting hotline advocates as a Backup Supervisor, Team Lead, and Technical & Training Assistance co-facilitator; she serves on the Junior Executive Board for Knock Out Abuse; she is an Empowered Women International, Entrepreneur Fellow, and an Entrepreneur graduate of the Black upStart Bootcamp.
Often inspired by empowering women, Corinn Marquis is dedicated to serving as a vessel of change and a service provider for healing and spiritual wholeness to women in the domestic and/or sexual violence communities.
Identifying as an indirect survivor herself, she found it difficult to rid herself of the embarrassment and shame that came along with enduring the lasting effects and aftermath of her mothers' childhood sexual assault. While working on goal-setting and creating a vision board to start her next chapter of personal development and growth the idea to create a non-profit to empower women through personal development and spiritual healing was born.
Brilliant Abundance serves to meet the need of continued support, empowerment, spiritual wholeness and healing for indirect and direct survivors of sexual violence, domestic violence, and/or child abuse, post-crisis intervention.
