B.A.C.Q. 2 Healing Journey

A Healing Journey Survivors of Violence

A Destination of "Beauty 4 Ashes"

BE ABUNDANT, COURAGEOUS QUEEN (B.A.C.Q.)

The acronym created through Be Abundant, Courageous Queen is B.A.C.Q., pronounced the same as 'back.'  Brilliant Abundance encourages B.A.C-Queens to explore every area of her life to discover pain in need of healing and transformation.  There is inherent power in self-love and discovery, in order to move forward a B.A.C-Queen will take a journey looking B.A.C.Q to apply love and forgiveness to her bruises and deeper wounds .

The B.A.C.Q. 2 Healing Journey explores looking at past pains through three (3) powerful and life changing principles -- Story-telling, Soul Connecting, and Self-advocacy, coupled with love.

SOUL CONNECTING

Connecting with ourselves in every area is important, in considering mind, body, and spirit as the three (3) points that keep us naturally in sync with ourselves, developing a path to plug into our own spirit-led connection is required.  Soul connecting allows an individual to explore, develop, and subscribe to spirituality practices that make allow feelings of strength and empowerment to create a foundation of internal wellness.

Reconnecting with your inner soul, reminds you of the necessity to check-in with self and informs you how to move forward with your entire self in consideration, first.

STORY-TELLING

There is therapeutic empowerment in taking the courageous step forward to share your story. The process is rewarding for the story-teller and the many other woman her story may reach and touch in the most supportive and encouraging way.

Women everywhere experience trauma, feeling un-supported and without a voice - it may not be apparent that she too, is not alone. Striving to assist in changing the culture of shame associated with women, identifying as indirect and/or survivors of violence, Brilliant Abundance holds value in community and creating a safe space for women to grow, heal, and uplift women like them.

In the flush of love’s light, we dare be brave. And suddenly we see that love costs all we are, and will ever be. Yet it is only love which sets us free.
— Maya Angelou

SELF-ADVOCACY, COUPLED WITH LOVE

Often as women, without thought we easily advocate and empower those around us, even by filling them up with love; however, we fall short with reciprocating that same type of empowerment to ourselves.   With each step towards healing an individual becomes more confident and expressive of self love, through that self love the conviction to be empowered as an advocate for self is born.

Love is defined as an "intense feeling of deep affection," advocacy is defined as "the act or process of supporting a cause," and most importantly self is defined as.

INDIRECT SURIVOR v. DIRECT SURVIVOR

An indirect survivor is a person (a loved one, who is the secondary victim of a trauma), who experiences violence and/or trauma secondarily.  A direct survivor is the primary victim to the traumatic experience.

AND DEVASTATING TO EXPERIENCE IT

TRAUMA INFORMED HEALING

IT'S SCARY TO WITNESS VIOLENCE...

TRAUMA

Trauma directly affects the individual, while it indirectly affects families and communities progress in healthy development and contributes to mental health issues;  relationships are adversely affected and multi-generational trauma threatens the stability of the entire family - everyone pays the price.

Trauma informed care is a structured approach that recognizes the effects of all trauma types to better assess the need of care. The process includes focus on physical safety, emotional well-being, and psychological health.
